Riley County police received a 911 from a Manhattan residence Friday morning about a deceased man. Police said the caller believed the man, a 24 year old Fort Riley soldier, was already deceased at the time the call was made. That was confirmed by EMS and the coroner.
The soldiers name and address have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Police said they do not suspect foul play at this time and are awaiting the results of an autopsy planned for the weekend.
