Junction City Police Identify Fatal Shooting Victim

Police have identified the 22-year old man shot to death early this ( Tuesday ) morning as Jose M. Paz, 22, Junction City.Zemanta Related Posts Thumbnail

Police responded to 110 West 16th Apt. 2 just before 1:30 a.m. to a report of a home invasion. Upon their arrival they found two victims, including Paz, who was transported to Geary Community Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A second victim received minor injuries, but he declined medical treatment.  Police confirmed he is a Fort Riley soldier, but they have not yet released his name. Paz was not a member of the military.

Police detective Lt. Jeff Childs said the case is still under investigation. “An autopsy is scheduled at two o’clock this ( Tuesday ) afternoon in Kansas City. Childs said authorities are “still actively investigating all leads.”
