String of Batteries in Manhattan on November 4

Manhattan, KS – On November 4, 2013, the Riley County Police Department arrested Orion Grove, 25, of Oak Park, Illinois on a warrant for aggravated battery. Grove was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department and was confined and later released on $10,000.00 bond. This warrant stems from an incident that occurred in May of this year.
Arrested and still confined for domestic battery was Aline Appelhanz, 46, of Manhattan, Kansas. The incident leading to her arrest occurred in the northern portion of Manhattan on November 4, 2013 at approximately 9:15 PM. The victim in this case is known to her and his information will be withheld due to the nature of this crime. Appelhanz is currently at Riley County Jail on $1,500.00 bond.
John Clark, 40, of Manhattan, Kansas was arrested for aggravated assault on November 4, 2013 at approximately 11:55 PM, after inappropriately displaying a knife to an employee of an Aggieville business in the 700 block of N. 12th Street. The victim in this case is Braden Pineau, 31, of Manhattan. Clark was still confined at Riley County Jail at the time of this report with a bond of $5,000.00. There were no injuries sustained during this incident.
